Basic English Language Level 2 Pupil Book

The Basic English Language course (BEL) covers the 4 skill areas of:
  • Speaking
  • Listening
  • Reading
  • Writing
By the end of BEL Level 3 the pupils should feel confident to begin the Grade 7 curriculum.  The pupils will know:
  • The letter sounds
  • The letter names
  • Alphabetical order
  • Numbers
  • Many song and poems
  • How to ask and answer questions
  • How to read words from the letter sounds
  • How to read words by whole word recognition
  • How to write lower and upper case letters
  • How to read and write short paragraphs
  • How to participate in simple role plays
